Issue :  When scanning a license vSoft puts different letters on the screen than is on the ID.  Not reading correctly.

Possible Resolutions:

Scanshell Scanner needs calibration.    CAMSCAN users will not have to calibrate the scanner.

Close vSoft completely and disconnect the cable BEHIND your scanner for about 30 seconds.  This will allow the power to restart on your scanner.

Locate your  "Calibration Paper" from your vSoft Setup Packet.

To print a new card, locate this card in our Electronic Documents section.

Method One:

Close vSoft completely, Go to Start> All Programs>vSoft>Scanner Utilities

Hold the calibration card into the scanner and click the Calibrate button.  This process should take about 40 seconds to complete successfully.  If it takes less than 10 seconds, try again.

The scanner will take the calibration card very slowly through the scanner.

Note: The scanner will occasionally need to be calibrated to insure the best possible license scan.  If this method does not work, please follow the steps on method two.

Method Two:

While logged into vSoft, Click Profile > Scanner Utilities

Hold the calibration card into the scanner and click the Calibrate button.  Click OK to start the scan.  This process should take about 40 seconds to complete successfully.  If it takes less than 10 seconds try again.

The scanner will take the calibration card very slowly through the scanner.

Note: The scanner will occasionally need to be calibrated to insure the best possible license scan..
